Once upon a time, greenhouse gardening was a hobby reserved for the very wealthy. When I think of greenhouses, I conjure images of a Victorian mansion with a glass and metal greenhouse. It would be very ornate-almost a miniature version of the mansion.

Well with the advent of plastic many things have changed. It is now possible to purchase from a large selection of plastic greenhouses. Plastic greenhouses that look just like the Victorian glasshouse are available. Plastic greenhouses make it affordable for any hobby gardener to have a greenhouse. Plastic greenhouses that have a completely modern look are also available. If a gardener chooses to imitate a Dutch greenhouse often seem in bulb catalogues that is totally possible. Since plastic is so light- weight, plastic greenhouses are also portable.

However, not all greenhouses made of plastic are portable. There is a good selection of plastic greenhouses that are also portable greenhouses. Portable greenhouses are a real modern invention.
