Significance of vitamins in our life
Today most of us know the importance of vitamins and their role in our life. It is also sure that we do not get complete vitamins required by our body through the food we eat. So it is necessary that we take vitamin supplements so that our body gets all the vitamins that it needs daily. No matter how nutritious the food we eat is, it is proven that our body does not absorb all the nutrients and some part or the other gets excreted without providing any benefits.
Doctors also advice nowadays to add some vitamin supplements to boost up our daily needs. People these days are very busy and they don’t have time to take care of their nutrition and calculate what they take everyday. However vitamins have a very vital role to play in the human body right from the time of childbirth. There are different vitamins that are required at various stages of life.
Vitamins help to regulate the metabolism of our body; help growing children build up their bones and tissues and also help to convert fats and carbohydrates. But one thing should be kept in mind that taking only vitamin supplements without food would not do you any good. So eating good, nutritional foods is also important along with vitamins and minerals.
