The Calliandra Bonsai Is Unique and Lovely
If you’re looking for a unique type of indoor bonsai tree, you may want to look at the calliandra bonsai, also called the powder puff bonsai. This bonsai is great for anyone looking for an indoor tree with beautiful flowers and bright colors.
During the summer, the calliandra bonsai will be simply covered in bright pink, white, or red flowers that smell incredibly good. These flowers complement the bright green leaves that look very nice and are a lighter shade of green than most bonsai leaves. In the summer, if you live in a warm climate, you can actually put this bonsai out on a patio or balcony. Just be certain to bring it inside once the weather starts to turn colder or you’ll end up replacing it—the calliandra can’t survive in the cold at all!
Remember that keeping an indoor plant alive can be just as difficult, if not more so, than keeping outdoor plants alive. While you don’t have to worry as much about the weather or precipitation, you do have to make certain your bonsai gets plenty of water, is grown in good soil, gets a lot of sunlight, and gets plenty of air. If your bonsai doesn’t have these four key ingredients, it may die.
